Hey guys,

looks like I'll be devoting my Summer vacation to my wife this year which is why I wanted to know if any of you can suggest good guitar workshops in Spain between January and May. Anything that would especially focus on accompanyment would be great. I don't really know much about who's who among the best teachers, any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
John

john, id say go to jerez for a week and take lessons with manuel lonzano "el carbonero", he's a great guy and a very competent teacher plus you'll be in the cradle of flamenco. alot of them more advaced stuff he was teaching the other students were moraito falsetas por bulerias and SPB which were great sounding.

im thinking of doing this myself for easter break.

Hi John

I have just hear about an amazing flamenco course which will be happening here in Granada in May next year 2008, held at the Archeological Museum and organised by the Agencia Andaluza para el Desarollo del Flamenco. It will last the whole month and teachers will include Gerardo Nuñez, Emilio Maya and more. Classes for guitar, cante and baile. I'll post more when I know more details.
