I've put some Daddario composites on instead of the usual Luthier 30's. Guitar now louder, but metallic sounding. Not sure I really like that.

It'll sound better tomorrow!!! Those composites take about 12 hours to settle in. Put them on at least a day before recording or a concert

I put them on over a week ago. Initially it sounded really bizarre

I find Daddario strings, which I have used, ALL the different brands many times over the years....to be kind of bland. I prefer the richer harmonics of Luthier or La Bella, but it depends on the guitar.

Luthiers are not easy to get hold of in the UK. And we had a postal strike, the D'addarios were left over on the shelf.

The Daddario Composites have harsh basses. Few guitars sound god with them. Some older guitars work well with them and some negras as well.

Just my few cents
