Hey Ailsa, I thought the course started very well. I must admit, I'd never done any group lessons before, except when I was at school, and was almost expecting the session to be a bit chaotic and noisy. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the way people were attentive and courteous to when Antonio was talking and also by the fact that I never had any problems hearing myself over the other guitarists. As for the material, I personally found it very simple. Which isn't to say it wasn't valuable. I particularly found the P, a, i, Rasgueado very helpful as this is a technique I've been working on recently and the way Antonio broke it down and encorporated it slowly into the piece was really helpful. I was left wanting more and probably could have played for a few more hours. I did notice that you seemed rather stressed but I guess that comes with being an organiser and getting through the first lesson. Congratulations on getting it all together. Should be more relaxed for you now and hopefully you'll have more time to play. I was a bit disappointed I couldn't make the Pena as I would have liked to chat to a few folk about technique, music etc ... and to have seen you dance. I'll be there next month. All in all, I had a great time and just to be in a room with 20+ other flamenco guitarists, all sharing the same passion was great. I left feeling thoroughly inspired. Thanks and good job![:D] See ya at the next one (and on the foro in the meantime!) Stu
