Hi everyone,

I've just joined the forum in order to let people know about some changes I've made to my website and the falseta collections that I sell. Of course, I'll also be trying to respond to your posts with useful information, so I hope nobody minds if I mention the falseta collections now and again.

The two changes that I've made that I'd like everyone to know about are:

1.- The falseta collections are now available with CD instead of cassette tape.

2.- I am now accepting PayPal payment, so customers in the United States, the UK and the Netherlands will be able to order the falseta collections much more easily, with credit card or through a PayPal account.

I've also uploaded a JPEG file of the Javier Molina siguiriyas falseta, scanned directly from the falseta collections. As you'll see, the visual quality is much better than the low-resolution GIF files that are found elsewhere on my website. Here's the URL for the scanned JPEG image: http://www.ctv.es/USERS/norman/sigsamp.htm#jmolina

There's also a digital photo of this same falseta at the beginning of the falseta collections page: http://www.ctv.es/guitar/.

Again, I promise to contribute to this forum with useful information, and this is the only new message that I'll be posting in regard to the falseta collections.

Thanks in advance for your understanding,
Norman

Thx Norman for the effort. You're site has been a good help.

Thanks for the link and update Norman. The website looks like it's full of traditional falsetas, which I like.

rickm -> RE: Flamenco Guitar Transcriptions (Sep. 9 2007 17:26:42)

how about a discount for forum users since you decided to advertise here?

Jan Willem -> RE: Flamenco Guitar Transcriptions (Oct. 2 2007 12:24:21)

mmm discount, I think the man puts a lot of effort in it so he should get paid. No discount :-),

hello norman. You won't remember, but I e-mailed you a while back, when I was attempting the fandango on your website. I was struggling with the basic strumming pattern and you e-mailed me back with a lot of advice which was extremely helpfull. I remember I was quite surprised that you would give me so much of your time, so I would just like to thank you for taking pity on a newbie.
That was my first attempt at flamenco and I think that piece was a bit too advanced for the likes of me, but I will have another stab at it soon.
thanks again

Hi Rich,

Glad to lend a hand. Someone once said that the great thing about knowledge is that if you give someone half, you won't end up with half as much as you had, as would happen if you were to give someone half of your sandwich, for example. In fact, you get to see what that person will do with the knowledge.

That fandango was one of my first attempts at putting together some ideas in that style, and I'm not so impressed with it now. I still play the last falseta, though.

Norman
