I love when turkish girls sing. She is singing a turkish folk song to the rhythm of tangos. It fits naturally, and the guys play really good. Thanks for finding this!

Its also in phrygian, in G#, but the C in G# chord doesnt fit. Sounds like it should be lower, but not as low as B. Maybe because of the different tone-system.

They did an awesome job in making a Tangos out of it. I hope more flamenco cante will be like this. Modern cante develops more in a jazzy way. I think the turkish style is much more authentic to flamenco. It really fits natural. Its so hard, i dont want to get back to flamenco cante. But there are not much other alternatives [:(]

Now that's just cool! Flamenco and Arabic/Turkish/Persian music is a very natural fit (as is, to a lesser extent, with Indian music, I'm totally into Indialucia right now! [:D]), it's great when the mix is done, and done well.

Thanks Deniz, that was really great, I'll get back to it again and again! That inspired me, and now it's time to get off the Internet and pick up the guitar and go for it!
