Sorry Ramon,

They weren't interested in making it.

If you find it in Spain and need to share the cost, i'd be interested. But like you I don't want to spend hundreds on a rosette.

Andrew

When I get an exact quote for a block, I'll break it down in pricing to see if I could get enough spoken for to make it...well...palatable.

I spent $30 on my first one from Schramm, plus like $6 or so to ship.

Hi John,

Thanks, but that's the Gerundino everyone is putting a pic up of, not the Reyes at the top of the page. Nice to have another bookmark, though.

(Man...! Ya'd gotten me all excited, too!!)

Sorry Ramon, I replied to the wrong person. Anyway it's a good source for rosettes and other luthier supplies. I've been dealing with them for years.

Hi Ramon,

Found this comment by T.Blackshear on a forum;

"One other thing I can add is that the Reyes rosette is a Japan rosette that is in their regular sales catalog. Kenny Hill ordered the same rosette to make a direct copy for his guitar sales. You can see a Hill copy on the GSI website with flamenco guitars priced below $5,000 I have never made an absolute copy but have changed some of his motif to what I consider a more beautiful rosette pattern, etc, etc. "

Kenny Hill could have the answer. I check for Japanese suppliers but could not find anything.

Lets us know if you have any luck.

Andrew

Thanks Andrew....I'll hunt...

Sent an E to Kenny Hill the other day, no answer.

Hunting online for 'japanese rosettes', etc...No luck.

It's odd that there are sooo many makers, yet nothing shows up online.
