Zorro02 -> Score? (Jul. 12 2007 17:22:36)

What does the score next to profiles represent and how do people score points?

JBASHORUN -> RE: Score? (Jul. 12 2007 17:48:17)

GAWD. This gets asked every few minutes. If you appreciate or agree with a post by another member, then you can click on where it says "rate this post". This will then increase their "score".

Its such an abused system that it is not always appropriate to judge a member by what score they have...

False, JB. It is been asked very often, and everytime with a wrong answer.

It indicates following:

- people under score 10 are amateurs. They are loosers and cant play guitar.
- score 11-20 semi-professional guitarrists
- above 20 proproprofessional guitarrists earning lot of money with it (and playing good)

lol, Deniz... ok... there is some truth because if you post good uploads or good advice you will get much more points.

But there is a certain amount of "give the people you like points", and "give the people you don't like negative points" that goes on.

For example, Koella, who has score of 103?!! I mean, he's a good guitarist, sure... but no pro.

Whereas GRISHA has: 8 and RICARDO has: 47 ?????

Yes, I think you were joking in your last post... [:D]

People are awarded points as to the value of their posts.

Of course, points mean prizes.

With 200 points you get two sets of used E A D basses from Tom at LaFalseta

With 500 points you get a Fluffy Duck with the ForoFlamenco logo and personally signed by Simon to keep forever to place on your mantlepiece.

cheers,

Ron

Where do you see the score and how do you vote?

Zorro02 -> RE: Score? (Jul. 13 2007 16:17:17)

I stumbled across it when logged in as a guest. Cant see it when on my own login page.

JBASHORUN -> RE: Score? (Jul. 13 2007 16:21:27)

The "score" is positioned just below the avatar, number of posts and join date of each member every time he/she makes a post. But it is only visible in certain sections of the forum (eg. it is NOT visible in off-topic threads).

There is a clickable link that says "rate this post" at the bottom of every post in certain parts of the forum.

Just have a look around and you will find these things for yourself [;)]

I see now. To see those little things you must select "Flat Style" rather than "Simplified Flat Style" in your profile.
