[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] SI SI SI he aprendido mucho con libros en mi cama todos las noches, knowing me it probably didn't help a bit - oooooooooooooolé! [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

You bet I'm fired up - can't wait! Which courses are you all in who are going? I hope it wasn't too self-confident of me to sign up for the master's course. I figured better surrounded by people better than me - unless of course everyone else thought the same way I did [:D]

Ill proably slip into the beginners course, and im doing the repeat of the mornings class awell.

ill be sticking around in the area for another week after the course to go to manuel "el carbonero" lonzanos school as well.

im flying into jerez airport and then taking a bus to sanlucar, how you getting there john?

John O. -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 10 2007 14:28:33)

I'm flying into Jerez as well Friday evening. Guess I'll be taking the bus too then if there is one. I got a single room at Los Helechos. I hope there's a little fridge in the room and that they don't mind me bringing groceries in, wasn't planning on spending too much there to be honest...

henrym3483 -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 10 2007 14:41:34)

ive gotta share a double room with luke.park from this forum, im happy anyway as its quite near the school, are you flying in with ryanair, i think theres an option to go to sanlucar from the airport.

the rooms look good, im hoping like you too for a fridge por un poco de cerveza[;)]
or guinness either or.

[:D]

JDiaz -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 10 2007 15:02:58)

Have fun there! Sanlucar is beautiful! It was great last year=)

John O. -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 10 2007 15:42:22)

Oh cerveza is a big part of the grocery shopping!

I'm going with Air Berlin. if there's no bus I'll go with a taxi, I guess.

I'm sure there'll be enough to learn there anyways, still I'll be bringing all the good music and books I haven't had a chance to look into/transcribe yet. AND I wanna come home with some of my own material. I'll be making this one intense week for myself...

quick question for those who have gone before, does gerardo or tino vandersman allow people to audio record the workshops ie to work on the material at home when you get back?

if not ill bring some tab scrab books to write down what i learn after the class;

Same for me and so eloquently put. [:D] Errol(flamencoguru) is there right now and I believe will be at the class as well. He is conducting some more interviews on my behalf as well for La Falseta. Some really good stuff but for now, the interviewee's are a secret. [8D]

guitardode -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 11 2007 19:39:49)

henrym3483 -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 11 2007 20:37:21)

If errol is there at the course i wanna buy him and ricardo a beer, for all the uploads and cool stuff they've put up on the foro [;)] or a glass of tinto[:D]

JDiaz -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 11 2007 20:38:03)

yes, they allow people to audio record. I would say it's quite necessary if you wish to memorize at least something because he teaches a lot over the course of the week!

Ricardo -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 11 2007 22:07:13)

Yes audio, but no video.

It sounds great Henry. What level would you say the course is at? How long you been playing?

Good question, I was wondering that myself. I'm sure there is something to gain by players of all levels, but to take the biggest advantage of the lessons offered, I would assume that a certain level should be attained before attempting these classes?

henrym3483 -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 20 2007 15:33:26)

the level is quite high, im in awe of everyone and telling you today i felt like a dunce, but its amazing and most of all inspiring to be here, next yearf i wanna have my ear better developed so i can follow better.

JDiaz -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 20 2007 18:46:17)

ya, im sure.

henrym3483 -> RE: sanlucar here i come (Jul. 21 2007 15:13:40)

last night was friggin surreal, i met manolo sanlucar, arcangel, miguel angel cortes and moraito.they did a concert in aid of alzhemers in sanlucar, and before i played a little solea on stage, i nearly died from the amount of sweating i did.

best holiday ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
