Herencia Flamenca (The Flamenco Clan)

A film by Michael Meert with Juan Carmona, Antonio Carmona, José Miguel Carmona Juan 'Habichuela', Pepe 'Habichuela'

From the director of the much-acclaimed Paco de Lucía: Light and Shade (2004) comes this a fascinating story about four generations of the Carmona and Sordera gypsy flamenco dynasty. In The Flamenco Clan' this German film director follows Ketama, the band that fused flamenco with rock, salsa, rumba, funk and even African sounds. The film takes a journey to the real flamenco roots of their music. Along the way they meet up with father and uncle to the Carmona brothers, Juan and Pepe Habichuela, two of the greatest flamenco guitarists of all time. The film's climactic sequence is a haunting, nocturnal
flamenco performance in a cave in Granada's Sacramonte district. More details on http://flamencoclan.com
