Have you ever seen such a soundhole?
The guitar is a Negra from Shiraki. The owner is a german guy (Otmar).
It is from the 70s. Otmar mentions that shiraki guitars are very rare.

I've never seen one like this on a classical or Flamenco guitar. But this sort of thing is common on instruments like lutes, etc. Originally, when guitars evolved, there was a "rose" in the place of the soundhole. as it evolved further, this dissappeared and was replaced with the "rosette". Or so I'm told.

well that is different, looks more like an oud soundhole. they too write theyre signatures in the ornate woodwork.
