Congrats, Kevin, that's great!

I hope that The Carrot can exert her influence, as the design and layout in Mel Bay publications is usually horrible. Or do they just print whatever people give them?

Well I'm impressed at your Japanese you guys - what an educated lot we are on the Foro! [:D] Fortunately for me my son is studying Japanese and he did a quick translation for me. So I'm following you, but keep it simple![;)][;)]

Someone brought up misspelt notes in my transcriptions. I am wondering if anyone thinks that is important from a strictly tab perspective.

Huh? From a strictly tab perspective, noone cares about the spelling of notes, because they aren't looking at them. Wakarimasen...
But if you are presenting transcriptions in both formats (tab and notation) I think it does matter, and I know that you know what the correct spelling should be, but tab programs that also create a bad notation version usually don't know.
I've been surprised at the misspellings in publications by famous transcribers - you'd think that if they go to the trouble of producing a decent notation, then they'd know the difference between D# and Eb in context, but apparently it ain't so.

I offered all my tabs in GP5 because not everyone has FINALE.

No, and not everyone has GP5 either. But everyone probably has a PDF reader.

Hi guys and especially Simon,

I have some potentially great news. Some of you know that I studied with Chuscales and that I have also been working on a theory text. Well.....Mel Bay and Sher music are interested in these couple of projects.

Thats fantastic, congratulations.

Kevin, The Carrot awaits your instructions. She is back here in 3 weeks and I will be around to help as "the idiot trying to figure it out" [;)] Hope it happens for you.
