Dominic. I´ve had many motorbikes. Mostly Hondas with four cylinders 350, 550 and 750. I also had a Triumph Tiger 100SS from 60th. My last one wasnt really a motorbike, but if you are born to be wild, wheels are wheels.

Here you have a picture of it touring Spain 5 years ago. Vespa TX200 LOL

cool, thats actually a really artsy photo. Who took it? The scooter looks like one of the fancier ones.

Anders Eliasson -> RE: Post your motorbike pictures here! (Jun. 19 2007 18:50:45)

The photo I made myself, you know with this automatic thingie. 10 sec. run, sit down and look like you´ve been there for a while.

I might buy a bike again. I want a single cylinder 350 Spanish produced Ducati from the 70th and 80th. Real Café racer style. I love them.
I´ve restored several bikes and done complete overhauls on Hondas, Triumph, Royal Endfield. And these simple 1 cylinder machines are most fun if you are not in a hurry and you dont mind them falling apart every 500km. Problem is that spare parts are fifficult to find

the 350 ducati has nice styling anders but i dont like the idea of it breaking down every 500km[&o] it does look very simple and easy to work on though. No room for a chick on the back here[&:]make her sit on the tank[:D]

TANúñez -> RE: Post your motorbike pictures here! (Jun. 20 2007 3:17:19)

OMD! That was crazy!!!!

It's not a 'motor'bike, but with the trend of gas prices lately I was considering one of these....

wow that looks pretty cool samewise, i dont think cars would see u easily though. Tom ive always had a softspot for the hayabusa's, i think they are a phenominal machine. I would love to take one out for a squirt. I think the styling is so unique on them that would either love it or hate it, awsome machine.

Its good enough if you are only going to Sevilla for an icecream.[:D]

They dont break down. They are just famous for being one of these machines where you have to tighten a few screws here and there every 500km. But as you say, its easy to work on and I like this sunday morning quietness and caring for the bike.

n85ae -> RE: Post your motorbike pictures here! (Jun. 20 2007 14:53:44)

Well, it's not exactly a bike, but ... I built it, test flew it, fly it regularly, and
still I'm among the living ...

Wow Jeff, that's great. Building your own plane and actually fly it.[:)]
Tha's unthinkable here in Holland.

TANúñez -> RE: Post your motorbike pictures here! (Jun. 20 2007 16:04:20)

I'm still amazed that you build planes. How about building me a replica of my all time favorite plane? The Corsair.

Hi Tom -

That's gonna require a lot of work ... plus my shop isn't so big ...

Ok, it's a deal - Now let's talk about the items you're gonna trade ... :)

Cheers,
Jeff

Anders Eliasson -> RE: Post your motorbike pictures here! (Jun. 20 2007 17:47:22)

Jeff.

Thats a cute plane. I love it. What is it. It looks like a modern Piper Cub. More pics please.
I like it ten times more than that... Corsair. Looks like a flying Cadillac. Just joking. I used to like Corsairs and stuff, but now I´m into cute little planes, like Jeffs, the Cub or Ultra lights.

Where are flying from. (looks like snow!!!) I wanna have a ride......

n85ae -> RE: Post your motorbike pictures here! (Jun. 20 2007 18:05:35)

Hi Anders -

I have a bunch of pics of building it at http://www.aselia.com/n85ae.html
It was built from what's called by the FAA a 51% kit. Which means 51% or
more of the plane must be built by the builder. As you can see in the
images, the parts arrived in an enormous crate, and I built it in my garage.
I was previously in aviation in the US Navy, and my Dad has a doctorate
in aero engineering, so it's not a great stretch (to me) that I built it.

The plane has a 125 hp fuel injected 4 cylinder engine, and weigh's about 950
lb's empty. It is considered a STOL aircraft (Short Takeoff and Landing). I get
airborne in about 40-50 meters, with landing distance about double that. I
also have float attach points on it for flying off water. Cruise speed is 120mph
with top speed being 140mph. It carries 4 hours fuel, but I never fly beyond
3 hours as I don't like running out of gas in planes ...

Compared to production planes, it is pretty similar to a SuperCub, which is
the high performance version of the Cub.

I live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, if you're ever in town I would be
happy to give you a ride.

Jeff

Jeff, do you know if an FAA 2% kit is available [:D]

n85ae -> RE: Post your motorbike pictures here! (Jun. 20 2007 20:09:10)

Haha! That would take all the fun out of it. That's like buying a string-less guitar
and calling it a kit. :)

Hi koella.

He has Donald Trump as his scholar, who flies every Thursday and Monday from US to Germany using a Corsair airplane. I think that answers your question??
