Adam -> Which Paco Peña bulerias? (May 7 2007 22:28:31)

So my teacher just taught me a beautiful Paco Peña bulerias falseta. I found it at Sal's site: http://herso.freeservers.com/tabs2.html under the title of "Bulerias". It starts a little bit after halfway through the MIDI and starts with tremolo-esque picking the A on the high E string, then strums the chord with that note and the second fret barred on the other strings. Does anyone know which bulerias this is/where I can find it? Any help would be appreciated!

It's called 'Cantes por bulerias', I hope you can find Pacos recording (god that midi sounds weird!)

I know, flamenco midis are AWFUL. Thanks for the tip! I really want to hear that in context...

Oof, I kinda hate to ask this but I can't find the disc (Fabulous Flamenco) in any form that won't take a long time to ship, I really only just want to hear this one piece - could someone who has it please up? Thanks so much!

Fabulous is still one of the easiest to find on the market, it's well worth having. Otherwise, send me your email address, I'll send you a copy.

OK, I'm confused--I listened to Cantes por Bulerias and that falseta is definitely NOT in it. Are you sure that's the one, Estevan?

Estevan -> RE: Which Paco Peña bulerias? (May 8 2007 23:47:23)

Yeah, you're right - the tab site you linked to had the nameless 'Bulerias', as well as 'Bulerias cortas'. Since the b.cortas is one of two on the album, and 'Cantes por bulerias' is the other, and I always used to listen to them together, etc.etc.
So...it's 'Bulerias cortas'![8|]

Ahh yeah, bulerias cortas is the one -- very cool -- I wasn't sure how that fits into the bulerias before (it seemed a really abrupt change) but now I've got a better idea - thanks so much!

Romerito, I picked up "Flamenco" yesterday and love love love it. Both bulerias (the first track, too) are killer!

That CD Romerito was one of the first flamenco guitar CD's I bought when collecting stuff when I was young. You know, the other bulerias on that disc has almost all the same falsetas, notice that?

heh, I noticed that. I noticed a falseta I'd learned when I first listened to the first bulerías, and then I heard it again on "Fiesta en Jerez". Hmm, I thought...interesting...:)
