have to agree the ebony box looks amazing, i can't imagine how long it took to make

Samarto -> RE: Carved cejillas (Feb. 12 2009 5:39:21)

Tony, I can't get your email to work. I would like to order one of the ebony and boxwood low profile cejillas and also get your old Bulerias falseta CD. Original cejilla I got from you still working great.

superboo -> RE: Carved cejillas (Feb. 12 2009 6:37:13)

Samarto, be sure to add the ".edu" to the end of his email address.

Yeah. Superboo is right. I can't figure it out. Every time I enter it into a post, the ".edu" part doesn't take, and the only part that gets hypertexted is the "arnold@gly.fsu" part, so people who click on that and don't notice, get the email bounced back. You have to actually re-enter it as
<--- see there? it did it again!

SO . . . don't click on it, re-enter it.

Tony.arnold@gly.fsu.edu

henrym3483 -> RE: Carved cejillas (Feb. 13 2009 4:25:08)

arnold@gly.fsu.edu

lets try this

edit::

tony put the email address in as a link and name the link the same thing and it should work.[:)]

a_arnold -> RE: Carved cejillas (Feb. 13 2009 6:15:16)

Hey! Thanks! I'll go back and try to fix 'em in previous posts...

superboo -> RE: Carved cejillas (Feb. 13 2009 20:07:16)

@henry/tony

that solution doesn't completely work if someone wants to click the link because the "link" function in the post adds "http://" to the beginning of the clickable email address, which ruins it.

if an individual copies the actual text of the link (not the associated url), then that would be fine. but as it is, if one actually clicks the link, an error is returned.

I was wondering how an email could double as a url when I looked at the text created by the "link" function. I guess it can't!

Another awesome artistry and superior functional cejilla received from Tony.

Thanks, Samarto.

Here is a new(?) concept in cejillas that I am doing now: matching the rosette and pegs:

a_arnold -> RE: Carved cejillas (Apr. 3 2009 17:45:43)

And some more mosaic cejillas, as well as the old standby carved ebony and mammoth ivory:

ChiyoDad -> RE: Carved cejillas (Apr. 3 2009 19:04:09)

How much are these new ones?

ChiyoDad -> RE: Carved cejillas (Apr. 3 2009 19:11:44)

And can that fleur-de-lis be carved in ebony?

Tony that is just beautiful. I mean it's a beautiful rosette, but with the matching cejilla, it's just ..... wow! Words fail me!!

HemeolaMan -> RE: Carved cejillas (Apr. 4 2009 7:24:43)

hehehehehe I know who made that rosette!

Alisa -- The guitar was made by Salvador Castillo with a stock rosette that is available from several sources. I bought a matching rosette (this one from Dukeluthier.com) and used it to make the cejilla to match my guitar. I can do the same with any stock rosette if I can find it.

Maybe Hemiolaman knows where DukeLuthier gets his rosettes made? I have more ideas for cool mosaic-inlaid cejillas I'd like to explore.

$55. There are more gluing and finishing steps with the inlay. If you want your specific rosette design, send a pic and I can do that for $65 ($10=cost of rosette and shipping) provided I can find your rosette maker. I don't do the mosaic tiles or blocks myself, I just inlay them.

Yes, but not quickly. I have used all my ebony stock on the floral ones (like the carved ebony/mammoth ivory in the pic). There would be a wait for an ebony fleur.

HemeolaMan -> RE: Carved cejillas (Apr. 5 2009 17:12:06)

im pretty sure that darren hippner makes them.

If so, he supplies my source. Or alternatively, my guy supplies him, or (more likely) both get them from a 3rd party. That one cost $6.95 + s&h. I don't think anyone in the western economy is likely to make them for that price.

GuitarVlog -> RE: Carved cejillas (Jan. 29 2010 20:29:04)

Tony are you still selling cejillas? I have some friends who want to buy yours. [:)]

RTC -> RE: Carved cejillas (Jan. 30 2010 20:31:40)

I have the same rosette on my SC. Do you have any more cejillas with that pattern. If so I would like to purchase. Can you send me the details of ordering this particular one.
Thanks,

Yes.

Please send me too the details for ordering. And some photo samples of your cejillas. Thank you.

GuitarVlog -> RE: Carved cejillas (Feb. 1 2010 14:56:19)

Many thanks, Tony. I directed them to this thread and passed your email to them.

javierflorian -> RE: Carved cejillas (May 4 2010 14:12:43)

Hey everyone.

I would just like to say that these Cejillas are extreemly awesome, light weight, efficient, and beautiful. Tony does a great job with these and are made to order. Shipping is fast and does not disappoint.

I highly recommend these Cejillas for the beginner and the advanced flamenco player. They slide up and down the fret easily for those times you just need to change keys quickly.

Ill be posting some pics of the cejilla i had made for me.

THANKS AGAIN TONY!!

cosimojack -> RE: Carved cejillas (Jun. 10 2010 6:39:26)

I just received a mosaic cejilla for my Castillo from Tony...

A perfect blend of form, fit, function and art.

Consider me another satisfied customer.

Thank you Tony!

ralexander -> RE: Carved cejillas (Jun. 10 2010 9:24:08)
