Franchiquito -> PDL for dummies. (Apr. 18 2007 6:14:48)

I'd like to know how to start learning some PDL stuff.
Can you, guys who have already done it, suggest where to start?
A specific 'easy' (if there is one) piece, and
how to approach it?
I think PDL learning is a worry for some of the user of this forum.

Thank you to all contributing to this topic.

play falsetas from diffrent pieces would be an easy way. you can leave to picado out[:D]. many of his early soleas got great falsetas. maybe his tientos Llanto a cadiz would be good.

For PDL I'd start with "La Fabulosa Guitarra de Paco de Lucia" and chronologically work your way forward. The earlier stuff isn't so brutal when played slower. If you wanna learn compas, the later stuff is not the right way to go. It's all in compas, no doubt, but it's not the best material for learning the palos, it's all a step further.
