AKG 1000s

I have a pair of AKG 1000s, and I agree they are really good for the price. My preamp is not as good, but still gets the job done.

I was fortunate enough to get one of these for Christmas. It's the M-Audio MicroTrack, and the AKGs have not seen the light of day since I received the MicroTrack. I'm not trying to say the MicroTrack setup is better than two AKGs recording in stereo with a good preamp etc., but for what it does it's just a better alternative for someone at my level. Don't let the price scare you, I believe mine was purchased for $312 USD on ebay.

Haitham

I´m happy with my Samson CO1U USB microphone. You dont need a preamp. You can insert it directly into your USB port.
