Hi all.

I just thought I would share this little very cheap help for sitting in the traditional position. As you can see on the photo its just a piece of rubber cloth like the ones you use in kitchens.
Put it between your right leg (left if lefty) and your guitar. It helps a lot and gives a lot of freedom of movement. It simply does that the guitar doesnt slip. meaning you dont have to press so hard with your right arm and you dont have to lift so much in the left hand. You can also lower the headstock much more, giving you a better position for the left hand.

I like the trad position. Because of my back and because of blod circulation. Also because I like to sit in a chair, my sofa, my bed, the floor etc and the rubber cloth really helps

Anders,
Thanks for the tip-off.
The traditional sitting position sure helps the left hand. Your wrist will be straighter and it's much easiser to apply bar chords.

I personally dont think theres a better or worse way of sitting with the guitar. Its personal.
I sat for years with crossed legs and could do so for a long time, but I got more tired, so I changed. Also because of this rubber thing that really helps (and protects your guitar.

That's a great idea Anders! I try to play trad position also, because I hunch over a computer most of the day and get knots in my back, and I like to play on the sofa too... it would be funny to market this as a guitar rest specially developed for flamenco guitarists haha, only $49.95 ;)
