I tried two or 3...wait, a few more in spain now I remember. They are good, and yeah "similar" to the father's. They have the same design more or less and in fact I heard the early models (and maybe even now) were certainly "partly made" or helped by the father. I do think it is silly that the price jumped from 4K to 8K in just a few years. The look of the guitar, meaning the finishing, is very "hand made" looking, if you get my meaning. especially the neck.

I haven't tried one but I've heard a few people say that the workmanship can be inconsistant. I also came accross one advertised for sale in the UK where I was told the set-up was a mess.

Go for the real thing.

be carefull!
try before you buy and dont be fooled by the label, make sure it is a great guitar. had some negative experiences with reyes hijos.
a guitar is a guitar, taking away the label,
I have HUGE resect for Manuel Reyes as he has soul and sepa la guitarra flamenca and is a very good person...

Hola

Ask yourself if a label is really worth 6000 euros: perhaps it is to you or when you want to sell. If you have 8K you can buy almost anything, so look at the good Condes, at José Romero (new) or a Reyes padre or Gerundino(used).
