Hi everyone,

I´ve just start to practice the pulgar technique but i´wouldn´t want to learn and memorize a wrong posture of my thumb.
For example:
- i would like to know which is the best way to practice this technique(at the beggining)
-where should it start the movement of the thumb??from the large joint of the thumb or from the wrist???
-where should i rest the other fingers?

There will be times you move only thumb, from wrist, or the entire arm even when playing pular. It depends on the musical context at hand. I recommend observing some video, especially the Gerardo Nunez encuentro video, and others. So much free stuff on youtube, OBSERVE the thumb.[;)]

I find that Oscar Herreros first volume is quite good at explaining thumb.

Remember to work thumb index tecnique as well, it helps positioning the hand for all thumb tecniques incl. alzapua.
