the dunlop one is alot more practical, i mean in gigs u got 2 seconds to change key before next dance exp if you doing it with other people.

problem is, my fingers find it hard to do that 90 deg half bar so I have to play it with 4 fingers and the Cejilla is tricky.[&:]

Jim, read my post a few posts up.

Thanks for taking my comments in the spirit in which they were intended!! Thought you might be incredibly interested(!!!) to know that I only ever wear Gallardo's and they have to be suede. As for the taks - next time I get a new pair I am going to count them. Can't do this now as I have stamped them into insignificance. Karenanne

PS So I don't get accused of hijacking this thread, can I just add that I actually own a Shubb but am now tempted to buy one of those other things as they look far more 'girlie'!!

Anders Eliasson -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 3 2007 8:46:32)

Karenanne, I myself use a "girlie" capo that I made myself. Its made of Pink ebony with inlayed hearts of mother of pearl...

I would make a photo, but I cant find the thing. Its lost somewhere in some trousers[&o]
Thats the advantage of a shubb, you never forget it in your pockets.

BTW, can you get Gallardos in different color suede and what is your favorite?

buleria -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 3 2007 9:07:02)

Oh no, even my preferred shoes are a very 'ungirlie' black - though I do have a very nice caramel coloured pair which I don't use much though as they have a different heel and are 'too fast'. (Heel type thread possibility?!!!??) Your girlie capo sounds lovely - hearts are a big thing in interior design over here at the moment. (Capo - lifestyle magazine possibilites??) Please try and find it and take a picture.

This thread has had an amazingly high number of hits - I wonder what the record is? In the interests of public awareness I have researched this further and realised that most of the guitarists I have met in Madrid use a dunlop though I have witnessed young boys with very long hair and plastic mother of pearl numbers that play amazingly! Karenanne [:D]

Ohhh my god.... The original super kitch capo. [8D][8D][8D]

I used to have one, but gave it away to a long haired freak with a van who was in need for a capo. (and a lot of other things[:D])
I should have given him the shubb or the dunlop or whatever, because that plastic thing is wonderfull and I would have liked to keep it..

I think that you have a problem with your shoes. Maybe you are neglecting something inside you. Something "girlie".... Black shoes are very standard middle of the road... I would like to see some deep red with black polka dots etc.

I LOVE IT!!!! It has inspired me to seriously consider jazzing up my footwear. (Black with scarlet hearts maybe?) Karenanne

Guest -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 3 2007 22:23:06)

Hey Anders now your really showing us your sensitive side[:)] (thats o.k even if the capo does look poofy) im kidding, im kidding[:D] hey i wonder what a rosette done with the same love heart theme would look like[8|] and maybe a nice big one on the headstock too.

Ron.M -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 3 2007 22:35:15)

Anders,
I think a really kind gesture would be to send that cejilla to Karenanne.

cheers,

Ron

Yes Anders, and even kinder would be to send me one of your excellent blancas.[;)]

Anders Eliasson -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 4 2007 8:05:43)

No worries... I ship worldwide $$$$$$$ [:D]

PeterB -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 8 2007 3:00:11)

I just bought the Ned Steinberger designed capo for Planet Waves, and it is perfect. It is about half the weight of a Shubb, and is very quick to use. It is ideal, especially given the fact that it is only $15.

buleria -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 8 2007 19:03:35)

Anders, if I ever make it further South than Madrid I am going to stop by and offer you lots of my hard earned cash for that Capo!! Karenanne[:)]

Anders Eliasson -> RE: Cejilla or Capo - Poll (Mar. 9 2007 7:45:12)

Take care with getting further south than Madrid... You might like it and not want to return[:D]
