Kate -> That's what I call flamenco (Dec. 26 2006 22:05:13)

For the last few months we've had two film crews chasing us round Granada wanting me and harold to take part in a film about Taller de Compás, the group of young flamencos we recorded and took to the States and Canada. In the end we met with one crew and talked over what they wanted from us, we also talked it over with the kids who wanted us to do it so despite our initial reluctance we agreed.

We were filmed sitting round our kitchen table being very noisy singing Christmas songs and clapping. We had a large bowl of walnuts on the table and only one nutcracker so the girls were cracking them in the palms of their hands, try it, it's bloody impossible [:@]

Anyway after they finished filming I was talking to the director who was saying that they were trying to capture intimate flamenco moments so I said, oh you must have loved it when the girls stared cracking the nuts, hope you got a close up. The director then admitted that she hadn't. I couldn't believe it, it was a classic flamenco moment.

Cracking walnuts with bare hands, a new definition for 'flamenco puro'

or just plain stupid[:D]..... (sorry kate, you may bash me!!!!!) Just for another event, You can upen walnuts by sticking a knife up its little hole in the bottom and then twist it. Its very spanish, you know knifes and stuff.

Besides, I agree with you, it can be rough having a film crew following you while you try to act flamenco.

Merry christmas to you and harold

Hola Anders

How are you, merry xmas and all that jazz.

I was impressed, they got them open whole. I'll stick to my nut crackers. I never imagined walnuts as having bottoms. Now there's a thought ( sorry British seaside humour).

See you sometime soon, all the best for 2007

I havent talked with Poul and Pepi from denmark in 2 weeks but i would imagine that they would send their christmas greetings to Emilio and El Parrón. I missed his workshop and concerts in copenhagen because of my son, otherwise i would have gone as well, but i heard it was full anyway. [:D]

Happy New Year!

I'll send your good wishes to them, They enjoyed Copenhagen and sold a lot of CDs which made them very happy.
