No sure, probably one of the Moneos they are one of the big flamenco families down that way. I say this guy live with Capullo this year up close it was aaaauuwsome.

Man...I just LOVE that "laid back" Jerez sound!
It's like "OK ..all you white guys go and practise your picado exercises or whatever...we're just gonna pull up some chairs and play a little Bulerias here.."[:D]

Love it...Love it...Love it!!

Some of the falsetas I've heard Diego Amaya play, also Moraito...
I sometimes think these falsetas just float around Jerez like a virus LOL!

Real "down home" earthy sound that you just don't hear anywhere else!

Yet, maybe tomorrow I'll put on a little PdL, 1970's vintage and think...
"Holy ****...."

That's the beauty of Flamenco.
There are so many good players and styles, that your head keeps jumping around to which you like best...

But really, you like them ALL! [:D][:D]

cheers

Ron

PS. I love the "dangerous" presence Capullo always brings into his performances.
There's nobody like him IMO.

what about the 2 scary looking dudes everyone fast fowards on Carlos Saura "Flamenco'?

the ones with the metal teeth[:D]

I cant help it now whenever i listen or see a buleria accomp i always think ahead at about 3 different way to accompany the singer and play the brakes.

i love that about flamenco the possibilities are endless

That's Manuel Jero, son of nino Jero. I saw him play in a few penas in Jerez in 1999, with singers El Torta and El Pica, he always seems to be accompanying Capullo these days (I saw them together at the bienal just a few months ago). Awesome guitarist and he seems totally dedicated to continuing the aire of other guitarists in his family.
- Aloysius.
