I use Luthier 20's. But it depends on the guitar. 30 is a harder tension, so you get a stronger bass sound, but the trebles are thicker I believe, so not as brite. My student likes Luthier 35, the dark basses for one of his guitars. It really depends on the guitar and how you like the tension. I say if you are not sure, buy a few different sets and try them out.

I use 30's. My guiter is still bright on the trebles. I like having thicker treble strings due to having thin bony fingers, the slightly thicker trebles make barre chords easier.

I had 30s the last 2 times i´ve changed my strings. about 10min ago i put some 20s on. I have a feeling i wont like thoes. I can´t realy "dig in" with mediums.

Henrik, Move closer to the bridge when you feel like diggin in mediums.

I prefer the 20 of all Luthier strings, but they are a bit on the soft side. At the moment I play Savarez Corum/Alianza high tension with a nylon 1st string (I hate carbon 1st strings[X(]). Very powerfull set.
