Well obviously if you play in band you need to retune it but for solo does professionals retune it or just put the cejilla on and go?

If you're playing with other people, you do want to be in tune with them.

If playing solo, you dont have to worry about tuning relative to others,
but you still want the guitar to be in tune relative to itself.

When you put on a capo, you will need to tune. Capo's pull the strings
out of position. So unless you want to sound out of tune, i suggest
tuning.:)

If you have an ear for music and tuning, you will know. If you tune with an electric tuner first then slap it on, it might be fine, but if you make the capo too tight or loose, and the guitar has a rather high action, it can affect the pitch/intonation. Hopefully your ear will tell you what needs to be done. I always fine tune after putting the thing on.

Nope, Sñr. Flame,
Just even the action of putting the cejilla on will stretch some strings more than others.
Also the high pressure of the cejilla (compared to fingers) will put some strings out of tune more than others.
Tuning via the machines or pegs is not recommended as only the upper part of the string may respond to the increased tension and then the tension slowly increase under the cejilla to the rest of the string. (usually after you are a minute or so into a piece.[:D])
That's why you see the pros pulling and tugging above and below the cejilla until they are happy.
