duende -> Finding "pure" cantes. (Nov. 3 2006 14:55:09)

Hi.

Im wondering if anybody could suggest so called pure versions of diffrent cantes.
I would realy like to get mp3s of Tarantas,Mineras and cartageneras, were the letras/melodies arent mixed.

of course it might be hard to find anything thats 100% "pure" but i would realy appreciate it.

Any suggestions?

Henrik

"Cantes Gitanos" from La Nina de los Peines is very good.

Most albums I have are mixed, but there's always one or two good "old school" [:D] palos on each one. If you really mean the lyrics though, to be honest I never paid a lot of attention to the letras (I'll always admit my ignorance [:D]). Esperanza Fernandez for example has a lot of arrangements on her album, but there's also a beautiful seguiriya and a kick-ass buleria on there I love to listen to and play along with - it's about my favorite album.

I'll see what I can find. I have all my flamenco tunes as mp3 on my computer...

my main concern is the melody

Well, whaddayaknow??? I don't have any of those three as cantes anywhere. How embarrassing [&:] Sorry about that. I'm overfilled with seguiriyas, soleares and tientos though...
