Patrick -> Tezanos Perez negra (Oct. 31 2006 20:24:27)

I just noticed a friend of mine just listed his Tezanos Perez Brazilian negra on Ebay. I haven’t played this particular guitar, but he has told me great things about it. This guitar is a sister to the one recently heard on Miguel de Maria’s new CD. Tezanos Perez workmanship, playability and tone are superb. This guitar would be in the eight grand range in the US. You likely will have to pay customs coming into the US.

One thing to note about Tezanos Perez guitars is the body depth. Both Tezanos and Perez came from the Ramirez shop and tend to build a fairly deep body guitar. TP guitars tend to be extremely rich with great volume, but are not likely to have the bight of a narrower body guitar.

Don’t let the Hong Kong address dissuade you. This fellow is top class all the way. I have purchased two guitars from him and can attest to his honesty. The guy has so many world-class guitars he hardly plays any one at length. Trust me, this one will be like new. My recent DeVoe came from him and the tap plate hardly had a mark on it.

I have no financial interest in this guitar, just pointing out a great deal, from a great guy.

Yes, my TP has a deep, classical-style body. It doesn't sound like a classical, though.
