Okay, I can't find a flush trim router bit with a diameter smaller than 1/2".

Does anyone know where I can find one? I can't find one anywhere.
Granted I'm not very internet savy, but I've been searching here and there for ~ a week, a week!!

I'd be much obliged if one of you internet gurus could point me in the right direction. I refuse to believe they don't exist. This is what I'm looking for:

Flush trim router bit diameter < 1/2" (Shaft ~1" long with ball bearing on base, to be used on routing table)
Thanks in advance.

Hmm... every local hardware store around my place have 1/4 and 1/2 bits. Plus laminate trimmers only take 1/4, so I guess if a store sells laminate trimmers, there should be 1/4 bits. I bought my flush trim bit in a Home Depot.

Standard bits come in a hundred diff. sizes, but I need flush trim, with a ball bearing. I've looked in Home Depot, Lowe's, and 2 Ace Hardware's...nothing. Just "1/2; show me a pic online if you find one please.

Like I said, I bought my 1/4 Flush trim bit with a ball bearing from a Home Depot, they placed next to the 1/2 bits, on the same shelf. Ask someone over there. I actually bought a 1/2 bit without knowing the fit on my router and I had to return it in exchange of a 1/4 bit, which I did.

ykabban,

I don't think there is one that is made smaller than 1/2 with bearing on bottom. This is what I was told when looking for one by many stores. I've only seem them smaller with bearing on top.

Thank you Tom, that's exactly what I'm starting to believe. The bottom bearing flush bits seem to have a 1/2" minimum diameter. I could make one, but I'd rather just buy one. When I saw that Rockler's didn't have 'em, I began to lose hope.

I actually got my 1/2 diameter from Rockler. They have nice stuff for affordable prices.

Are you talking about a bit like this:
http://www.freud.ca/English/Pages/Bits/EdgeTrimming/BearingFlush/BearingFlush.html ?

TANúñez -> RE: Need help finding bit! (Oct. 22 2006 14:10:13)

Yes but with the bearing on the bottom.

What Tom said.[:)]

DoctorX2k2 -> RE: Need help finding bit! (Oct. 23 2006 0:44:35)

Then, the same company has it : http://www.freud.ca/English/Pages/Bits/EdgeTrimming/TopBearing/TopBearing.html

I just had a different point of view of what was the top and bottom of a bit when I read the thread [:D]

ykabban -> RE: Need help finding bit! (Oct. 23 2006 1:03:38)

I really, really appreciate your help, but look again Doc. They don't have it.
I need 1/4" diameter, my kingdom for a quarter inch[:@].

TANúñez -> RE: Need help finding bit! (Oct. 24 2006 13:14:49)

If you do end up finding one with a 1/4 diameter please let me know but I really think there isn't one made. [:@]

Will do.
