Nemo Nint -> New guitar .. Cort CEC5.. maybe (Oct. 19 2006 6:00:45)

Well, I'm thinking of getting a new guitar, after having tried one out today, this Cort CEC5. It sounds pretty great, and plays really well, and is on sale for $300, normally 340. I think this is as much as I can afford in a few months. It had a very sharp sound which isn't so much sweet sharp flamenco sounding as much as it seems to be from the fresh strings. Maybe it still has more flamenco style sound compared to the classical guitar I've been using for flamenco in the last year. This forum has a thread discussing a low-cost flamenco guitar, the Yamaha CG 171-SF and maybe I should save for this one instead. But I like built-in pickups and cutaways for the extra range and I like playing flamenco and classical guitar songs on one guitar, so it's a hard decision. In truth, I haven't ever played an actual flamenco guitar, but playing flamenco falsetas on a classical guitar is easy once practiced and mastered, and it sounds great to anyone who just wants to hear the music ([:)]without virtuosos around ) so that works in my budget's favour... heh heh. Anyone have constructive comments or suggestions? [:)]
