I agree with you that they are very nice machines and personally there is nothing in that price range that I have seen that work nearly as well.

Anders Eliasson -> RE: Sloane tuners (Oct. 24 2006 7:36:51) If you want quality, I dont think you will find anything lighter. The ones with a leaf baseplate are very small, so they are not heavy. Remember that a reason that they work so well is that the baseplate is solid and the gear is solid. Lighter tuners like fusteros have thinner baseplates and thus less stability and the quality of the gear of the Sloanes is amazing
