Verdiales -> good lessons? (Jul. 30 2006 5:48:56)

im sure most of you guys here are taking or have taken flamenco lessons.
what are your typical lessons like, i mean do you get there and get strait
to work on a piece or learn techniques or something else? what should a beginners lesson be like?

I think the beginner should learn to hold the guitar and start learning strumming, arpegios and picado with thumb. It can be practiced with simple compositions. Than the technics arent so boring. I practice technics with classic etudes. Especial arpegio. A whole composition only arpegios. You leant the harmony and many chords beside the technic and it sounds great.

A beginner sould hear much traditional audio to become the feeling for the music. Thats not all. But for the beginning its ok I think.
