Doe, a deer, a female deer..
Ray, a drop of golden sunnnnn
Me, a name, I call myself..
Far, a long long way to run...
Sew, a needle pulling thread!
La, a note to follow sew!
Tea, a drink with jam and bread..
that will bring us back to..
DOE!
or D'oh! as Homer would say.

Once more, with feeling.

Yeah it's Do Rae Mi Fa So La Ti and Do for English and Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si e Do for Latin languages.

quote:

C D E F G A H(B) C
Do Re Mi Sol....? Im not shure...

But it's
C = Do
D = Re
E = Mi
F = Fa
G = So
A = La
B = Ti
C = Do

Where did you get 'H' from?

duende -> RE: Do Re Mi etc (Jul. 25 2006 6:33:22)

In Sweden we have a H instead of B and B instead of Bb
witch is totally confuseing to me.
I use H but i would never replace Bb with only B thats realy confuseing.

I think H is in All of scandinavia AND in Germany as well.

Doitsujin -> RE: Do Re Mi etc (Jul. 25 2006 8:19:02)

Yes, the H makes it easyer.... Why do the rest of the world make it wrong?? [&:][&:][:-] Hey We have Mozart and Friends!! hehe They also used the H.

Nothing against Paco, hes great in flamenco. But in music theory,composing and knowing all instruments, Mozat is some universes above Paco.[;)]

Maybe because too many of the English and French have trouble with the letter H?

Miguel de Maria -> RE: Do Re Mi etc (Jul. 26 2006 3:44:57)

Shroomy,
I don't think you get to take credit for Paco, but you do have Astor Piazzola. I've been listening to a guy named Enrico Corea lately, and he's doing a little Piazzola, a little Villa Lobos, a little this and that. The title "Latin Touch" is corny but the music is full of life!

Don't get 'ot 'eaded.
