They could make a big fuss about it but legally, I doubt there is anything they can do. Especially if the guy copying the Conde is in the US. In Spain, they may have more pull to do something. Every maker has taken something from another, whether it's from the cosmetics of the guitar or from the design. Some people even make, or try to make replicas or "copies". Very few are every really close to the original but they still do it. If there was a law, I think Herman Hauser III would put an end to everyone using his families design which I believe was originally Torres' design to begin with. If anyone knows if there is in fact a law, I would love to know about it.
