I've been looking around for guitars locally. I found this ad in my local craigslist:
quote:

Beautiful flamenco guitar Ricardo Sanchis Carpio ( Valencia) model 2AF. Genuine flamenco sound. Rare to find such an instrument.
$850

I know our local stores don't sell this brand. He doesn't even comment on the materials. So I wonder if he really knows anything about it.

$850 is Canadian dollars and we're about 80/100 on the USD.

This is a direct link if the pics don't show here.

I have one, looks identical to that pic.

Can't comment on that price, I only know what they go for over here.
Cypess/spruce, ebony fretboard and as you can see, quite an orange finish.

Difficult to say much more without seeing the actual guitar. As I have said lots of times, factory made flamencos are fairly inconsistent and when someone asks "how good is an Alhambra 7f?" or whatever it is always a pointless question. Just go to any shop where they have a big selection and work your way through the guitars.

My guitar plays well, has a standard factory quality finish and smells good but IMO lacks a good authentic flamenco tone. The one pictured could be better, worse or the same.

What do they go for over there?

I emailed the seller. He response was the he played it a bit, it's a good quality guitar. He didn't know anything about the materials...
