Jon Boyes -> Good mp3 download sites for flamenco? (Jun. 8 2006 9:01:51)

Can anyone recommend good (legal) sites for buying flamenco mp3s ie for downloading individual tracks from albums?

I don't want to have to download special software to play the tracks (like napster).

Hi Jon,

Below is a list of all the places that either sell downloads or pay to listen. All legal and above board. All of these stock Emilio Maya's CD so maybe they have other flamenco albums as well. Let us know what you find.
Cheers
Kate

Jon, I have never really saw the attraction in having mp3's. I like to have the cover with the sleave notes and be able to read all the detail, if I feel like doing so. - Strange[>:]

Ah! Jim...The good old days of returning from a trip to town with a good solid 12 inch LP under your arm, with a decent sized picture on the front and full notes on the back!
Even CD's seem so sparse and cheerless in comparison...
Fond memories of Biggar's Music Shop.. LOL!

cheers

Ron

BTW...Have you seen what some of these download sites classify as Flamenco? [:D]

Ron,

You'd be shocked by what you'll find in the 'Flamenco' section of large Spanish department stores now-a-days.

Know what you mean, but its very useful for the occasional track, or if you are buying a collection of sheet music/tabs, and want to get the pieces all featured in the book.
