Les -> Understanding Flamenco - Faustino Nunez (May 21 2006 15:21:56) As a relative beginner, I've bought the "Understanding Flamenco" Book & CD by Faustino Nunez. I was hoping to get a handle on Compas. The book/CD seems a bit confusing to me. For example it doesn't use 12 in the count etc. Can anyone give an opinion on this Book/CD? Is it worth persevering with? Thanks Les

On the other hand, the CD is outstanding and very clear. Very good indeed IMO. I'd say chuck the book and listen to the CD many times and try some of the base rhythms out yourself. cheers Ron
