bahen -> humidfying issue (Apr. 29 2006 2:51:52)

Ok, I have a question on humidifying. I've had my blanca for (I think) two years now, but have not humidified it - ever. It sounds incredible; I've taken it to the Twelfth Fret (Toronto), where they have a selection of higher end flamenco guitars, and both myself and my sister (plays violin; gifted ear) would pick my guitar over any of the ones I've tried. The price ranges were from $2000 to $4900 CDN. I purchased my guitar for ~ $1000 CDN. So to my question: should I humidfy my guitar, and will humidifying dampen the sound / volume / tone? I dont study physics nor the chemical sciences, but intuition says that humidifying would wetten the wood (however slightly), and by virtue of doing so, would dampen the sound / decrease the volume (however slightly).
