Is it really that bad ? Or is it only in Germany? I put up my amazing 1F Extra sanchis for 2400 then reduced it to 2000 euros, since I want to buy an old Conde from a friend, and still no buyers. This would have been sold in 1 sec. few years ago. I guess people are holding back with any kind of buy these days. Is it different in US or elsewhere?

I was just telling Andy Culpepper about this last night. It has been HORRIBLE here. I even did a 50% discount recently, and STILL nobody bought anything. The economy is in dire straits...

honestly I always found the middle market problematic. Like "cheap" guitars below 2k always move, and then collectables above 5K always people on the lookout. Many people were interested in my Sanchis, but those people were thinking I would let the thing go for $1500 or so. No thanks. It was always very valuable to me as my travel guitar that functions like a concert level instrument. But it would be dishonest of me to push the price tag up to around 3k.

It's true. I am selling my Sobrinos de Esteso 1973 media luna blanca, which is a good guitar with a beautiful sound and perfect setup. But the fretboard was repaired before and it is unsigned. I asked for about 5000 Euros including shipping, but no one wants to pay for it.

Its the same here in Sydney Australia. I have a collection of 7 guitars which I bought over the last 15 years or so. Felipe Conde fc28 2017 (9800 Euros cost at the time ) for which no one wants to pay anything like that.Also have 1973 Sobrinos de Esteso and Vaky Losadas Manuel Caceras 1978..which I was going to sell last year...people here were expecting to pay around $2000 ...no idea about the value or maybe with the inflation rate and cost of living figures over $2000/3000 seem ridiculous to them.

Hahaha If I give it a fake signature it will become Hermanos ****. In 2014, the half fingerboard was polished, and a new half was added to it cause the original one was worn badly. Now it's stable.[:D]

If it's the one I'm thinking of from Ebay and FB, didn't it have more done than just a fingerboard repair? To me, it looks like the scale was changed, the bridge was replaced, and it was refinished. I imagine that stuff scares away a lot of buyers unless it's super cheap.

Yes it's the one on Ebay and Facebook. I don't know if the saddle was replaced. I have seen some similar saddles of Sobrinos de Esteso from Solera Flamenca so I think the saddle is original. The only thing repaired is the fretboard. The painting actually is old with some pins which I compared with my Esteso 1971 and they are same. [:)]

Shrinking market. 15 years since Moraito and Paco. One of my favourite guitarrsts Manuel Valencia moved to a Conde negra 7 years ago and it sounds like ···· compared to his older cheaper blanca. Miguel Salado died recently. Why invest is the question.

Jesus is great. Great playing. Unfortunately that guitar has too many red flags in design in addition to the missing signature. The bridge yes, never seen that one, the head has that extra wood slab above the nut (maybe that compensates the higher fingerboard?), the fingerboard has an extra one glued on top to correct the neck angle (lowers the action basically, but it makes the neck thicker overall) the neck is not stained dark red as others of the era, the heel design, etc. It could be a one off interesting guitar of its time, but my 73 looks like a sister of Brune's 67 and others I have seen. Does not mean yours is not authentic but if a student was to buy this I would recommend 5k range to be safe.

I’ve looked on Reverb a few times over the years to see what I might get for selling my Sanchís. So disappointing! I guess I will use it as a flower pot. And- Especially considering there are not many alternatives to decent factory guitars. Plus there is the tarriff BS in the US market to content with. Same situation for other guitars including electrics right now. It’s a buyers market on used stuff for sure!

A quick look at Reverb, eBay and FB Marketplace this morning shows no major discounts on guitars. FelipeV Condes, for example, are still around $6,000. Perhaps factory-tier guitars are selling for less, but single-luthier guitars don’t appear to be heavily discounted. Sanchis, Bernal, Esteve, Aparicio, etc. are not single-luthier instruments, regardless of how good they may be, and brand recognition plays a big role in resale. What you paid is irrelevant to what it will resell for.
