That's really elegant. Sounds lovely too.

I always crap my pants when I see people stand up their guitar like that, propped against a wall or shelf. I'm always super scared that 1) it may fall over, and/or 2) it might get scratched. Luthiers don't get scared anymore like us non-luthiers. (or maybe it's just me LOL among the non-luthiers) [:D]

I am scared of guitars that don't have cracks or scratches. I steer clear of them.

I love the color and agree about the elegance, and it sounds wonderful.

I'm starting to slowly adopt that mindset. It's getting easier with age... [:D][8D]

Thanks guys.
@Ramzi you would have to bump into it to knock it over. There are plenty of more scary/dangerous parts of the guitar making process. It's not an occupation for the clumsy [:D]

Wow, never was there a more accurate statement about a trade.

I will make sure my guitar stands upright and centered before I cut in the binding grooves.

Oh ya, nice guitar Andy.

Mark2 -> RE: New blanca #176 (May 24 2026 1:28:49)

I hear you. I had a furniture maker as a tenant and at some point he couldn’t continue. He left a lot of industrial machines and saws including a table saw. I toyed with the idea of keeping some but envisioned the result of a mistake with a table saw. Got rid of it. Great sounding guitar and nice playing too!

beautiful

Andy Culpepper -> RE: New blanca #176 (May 27 2026 4:22:25)

Thanks guys! Mark, I went a long time without a table saw but I recently picked one up, a vintage Delta from the 1950s...no safety features whatsover but I only needed it for fret slotting so I'm pretty confident I can do that without losing any digits.

See, we are training guitarists to be careless, because when sales of new guitars are slow, it's repairs that puts food on the table.[:D]
