Apparently she's 32, has been building for nine years, and prices for each instrument start at $36K USD with a six-year waiting list. Am I missing something?

Apparently the rest of us are.

I have not watched the video yet, but $36k ??

ernandez R -> RE: Eye Candy Studio Workshop (Apr. 3 2026 2:20:14)

Oh my… I don’t watch those kind of videos.

I’m vaigly familure with this lady, she had a lot of presence on instagram, which means she paid for that exposure and clicks. She builds some nice guitars and if people are paying that much for them… I doubt it, it’s just more marketing, same for that six year waiting list. I’ve seen a few starter luthiers use the same tactics, I’m sure it gets you sales…

About the eye kandy angle… hard to say anything about it without coming across like a sexist pig. If I though my cleavage would draw in sales I would be all over it ;)

I thought her studio/shop was sexy. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. [:D]

I enjoyed the video, great work. And her workshop is lovely.

Just marketing ... market value of that thing should be 3000-5000 $.
Maybe my English is too poor, but I really didn't get her final complain.

as much as I am into electric guitars (well, I have 3 "super Strats"), I was never able to commune with the steel string acoustic for some reason. When I got into the Trio as a kid my friend had an Ovation and I thought it was awful. In college my friend had a cheap steel string and broke a string so I put a set of nylon on it and it stayed that way ever after. [:D] My friend built a spanish style guitar with steel strings that was interesting and easy to play but the standard Martin/Taylor type guitars just never appealed to me for some reason.

I feel the same way, except I REALLY wanted an Ovation because of Fripp's League of Crafty Guitar series in Guitar Player. But I couldn't find one I liked and ended up with a nice Takamine Santa Fe. Pretty much the only ss acoustic I've owned, and I sold it a few years later. I got another on a whim but never played it and sold that too. They give me no joy at all. Much prefer electrics.

yeah steel string acoustic!?! me too. cant even say why. just no!

I watched a few of her videos for a time. they appeared on my yt feed for a bit. kinda enjoyable and easy to watch.

this is it. attractive, young, positive, female guitar maker with that online influencer, video log lifestyle/van life/artisan vibe that people lap up. fair play to her!...i think

nethanpaul86 -> RE: Eye Candy Studio Workshop (Jun. 17 2026 20:23:15)

This workshop space is really beautiful. I think it is always interesting to see where people make guitars because the room usually shows how much the guitar maker cares about the details and doing a job. The guitar makers room usually tells you a lot, about them.

A guitar-making studio that is neat and organized can make a difference when you are working on small things like making the guitar sound good and putting the final touches on the guitar.

Thank you for sharing the pictures of the guitar-making process. It is nice to see what happens behind the scenes when people are making guitars. The guitar-making process is really interesting to see and I like looking at the pictures of guitars being made.
