Yngwie says it is too late. That is true and is one reason.
But I think the real issue is just being out of touch.

People hate such corporate BS, laywers, and elite behaviour etc.
I think it is mixed in and also subconciously related to current politics and overall disgust for it. So the masses advocate for the "underdog", the small company who copied strats and is now being served these lawyer letters (of course BIG companies like Thomann "misuse" this too for their purpose). And the whole socialmedia infrastructure amplifies it exponentially. At the end, it was a mistake and caused more harm than good.
