Just saw this posted a year ago. But seems like he still has the collection (not 100% sure). He wants 5500 bucks for it but one might be able to discuss that I guess. I don't know maybe someone is interested (and has the extra cash). He posted he only sells entire collection

More details on his blog:

Apparently he needs to remodel his bathroom and the money would go towards that. His cats attack his turntable if he were to use it, but no worries because he already digitized the entire collection. And his kids don't like flamenco...

dumb. People have what they have already, so he should sell it off piece by piece and put that money in a "fund" for himself. Nobody wants to pay all that for a lot of stuff they might already have, but over time I could imagine he unloads the entire thing.

Probably after a year, he is maybe willing to sell at huge discount if somebody takes it all.
Nobody will pay 5 grand imo. But it depends, some people are stubborn (and/or) don't really need the money and will stick to their approach no matter what. Others are more realistic.

I guess it could be a time problem. Selling piece by piece will take a lot of time.

Somebody with time, might be able to buy everything at a good price, then sell off the stuff he doesn't want (or already has) and basically get the stuff he wants for free.

But again, it is a time issue.

Selling piece by piece of every collection always brings more money and is faster to sell individually, but it takes a lot of time and hassle, dealing with dozens of buyers. So he needs to realize that if he wants a single transaction, it must be at a huge discount.
Or sell the cats instead, and enjoy the Vinyls till end of time.[:D]

Friend of mine just recently bought a huge collection of guitars and amps. There were two specific guitars he wanted from that collection, he was not interested in the rest at all, but seller refused to sell individually. He ended up buying everything at a good price. With his calculation of used market prices, he will end up getting one of the guitars he wanted basically for free and the other one for very good price, after he sold all the rest individually on ebay or reverb or whatever. So, that is one approach. But now he has to spend the time and deal with it, not the original seller. Thats the downside.
