a_arnold -> has anyone tried the ORTEGA OSWS 86 Wireless mic (Jan. 13 2026 16:27:33)

I have been looking for a wireless mic like this for years, and now a German company named Thomann is finally selling it: ORTEGA OSWS 86 When I play for dancers I sometimes have to move around to see the lead dancer's feet, and sometimes need to put down the guitar and walk offstage. Not being wired to the guitar or an amp would be a BIG plus. Features: 1) Transmitter fits inside an 86mm soundhole with no wires or antennas sticking out (practically invisible); there is no belt pack transmitter; remote receiver plugs into amp 2) doesn't require any modification of the guitar 3) easy to install and remove (you don't even need to remove the strings) 4) rechargeable while still in the guitar 5) 30 yard range and 8 hours use time 6) soundhole access to volume, on/off, and treble/midrange/base emphasis 7) antenna and goose-neck mic are inside the guitar 8) costs $117 + $21.70 s&h direct from Thomann BUT tariffs, merchandise processing fees, etc., can add a LOT and nobody seems able to tell me how much. Some sources add as much as $300 to cover import duty but nobody (I tried the Post Office, Customs and Border Patrol) knows for sure what customs charge is until it actually arrives and someone at customs calls to tell me what it costs to release it -- and the buyer (me) is on the hook for shipping it back if I can't afford the import costs. Has anyone here tried ordering one? There are a few YouTube reviews. I'm willing to risk $117 on the sound quality, but I am reluctant to be held to ransom for an unknown amount of customs cost.
