Share some stuff you listen to, other than flamenco, these days.

I miss the 80s and I often just listen to this type of instrumental Retro Synthwave music in the background:

Grondona plays old Spanish guitars. (The link is a playlist, not sure how the embedding will affect that, I tried to post as a link. Same with the next one.)

John Barry's score for On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Aloÿs Fornerod
I like some of his piano music and it is refreshingly different. I found him because he wrote one piece for guitar.

Okay you caught me in a weird week. "Atomic Blonde" soundtrack playlist

It's funny you've mentioned the old synth rock as recently I've been listening to quite a bit of Krautrock from the 70s. My inspiration came from remembering how much I loved the music of Michael Rother back in the day. I went in Apple Music and downloaded a bunch of his stuff and now it's compiled a few different playlists of the genre that I play in the background. Very relaxing music and the playlists have led to the discovery of quite a few artists from the era that I hadn't known about.

Here's one of Michael Rother's pieces that I remember well. One memory I have of this song is of lying in bed on a hot summer's night in a high floor hotel room in a big city I was visiting. I had left the curtains open so I could look out at the city lights while this lulled me to sleep. For some reason, that memory has never left me.

Interesting variety of stuff you guys shared.

When I'm in Metal mood, I listen to specific Metalcore these days (used to be thrash metal, heavy, death metal in my teen years).

Probably nothing any of you guys would like, but hey there you go.[:D]

one of my all time favourites, so powerful

and this ..... the switch to chorus [>:][:@]

I've been getting into watching Meshuggah full sets lately.

Per Nilsson stood in for Fredrik Thordendal a few years ago. Per is amazing.

Amongst other things, a wonderful piece that I heard for the first time in this hall with this orchestra in May.

A few days ago I discovered the debut album The Hurting of Tears for Fears. Pretty amazing when you think it was released in 1983.
Pale Shelter is my fav so far.

Another song of the album Prisoner brought me to Peter Gabriel's Intruder. Another banger.

I’m relistening to a lot of Segovia recordings of Federico Moreno Torroba peices written for or dedicated to Segovia and comparing them to more recent recordings by many different artists concertizing now.

I’m trying to get a complete in depth read on Torroba’s career and how he wrote for guitar.

Yes I’m boring.

When it comes to different types and tastes of music, almost nothing is boring to me.
Unless it is some of the autotuned crap these days...

Tears for Fears were brilliant. Such great songwriting and delivery, I get emotional listening to Sowing the Seeds of Love.
