ORIGINAL: Firefrets You think I can afford to make Scouse? Yeah, kind of a beef stew. My mum used to basically stick everything in a pressure cooker when we were young. Stewing steak, potatoes, carrots, onions, gravy etc etc. Nothing special but tasted great. Turkish stew is great too. Made a stew last week (no pics though sorry). In my experience, if you have the time, don't use pressure cooker for anything. Much better taste if you let the stew cook for 3 hours or so with very low heat, adding the potatoes, carrots etc in the last 30 to 40 minutes. But the meat gets so tasty and tender with low temp and time. Also make a LOT of it. It gets even tastier after a day or two in the fridge and warmed up again. Food for dayyyys. I do the same with all the different iranian stew like stuff too.
