A moderately interesting interview. I really like their strings, they sound and feel really nice to me, and they last a good while.

ever since Kitarist pointed out the facts about nylon string production and the physical properties, all these string discussions are purely subjective nonsense to me. The miss balance of any set in terms of wacky diameter vs stretching the string to pitch, which shrinks the diameter, etc., the discrepancies are actually what you WANT from your favorite set for whatever reason that is most likely having nothing to do with what you think it is.

For example, I like La Bella reds because of those very soft G and B strings, that snap nicely. and the E is stronger and just sings when you needed. Totally miss balanced. And everybody freaking out about the G string and that miss alignment of size material and response is what give a guitar its special character compared to a Piano or something. It is great when you find a brand that works for you, but don't pretend there is anything going on special other than your subjective fake experience about it. It is just a fancy package of fishing line. [:D]

I've also been an angler for many decades (not a particularly good one) and there has always been similar debates about which brand of line was best or better than another.

strings can be similar or very diferent .

I have many years of experience with diferent brands and materials , from the top Dogs , Tecnifibre and Ashaway (USA) .
It depends so much of diferent things to perfect fit , racket material/tension/balance/weight , player level , style and even health.


In these case is no diference , spent many months playing the new guitar with Knobloch SN , didnt changed till last week . Changed to my favs Savarez Tomatito, and i wasnt used to right now... the basses are way louder than trebles and very metalic (old news right?) , trebles very cold , and lack of "Matizes" colour.
First time that i changed strings in this guitar , so , Savarez Tomatito were perfect fit in old guitar but not really in my current guitar....
Knobloch SN seems perfet fit , i could guess that daddario ej45 will be to.

Balancing the string set is a mistake. It homogenizes the colors of the registers and flattens the tone color and spectrum.
