This is a very cool device. It's an in-line opto-style compressor coupled with a signal booster. I am using it here with a Shure SM57 dynamic microphone to get healthier levels / lower the noise floor as well as to tame some of the dynamics typical of flamenco. In the first half of the video, I have the knob turned all the way to LESS, and in the second half of the video, I have the knob turned all the way to MORE. I level-matched both halves of the video so you can clearly hear the compression at play (because the signal boost is less prominent with the compression at MORE). What do you think of the sound?
