It is for sure more difficult to develop your own sound, style, etc. with such a dad. The "normal" case is a mixture of all your teachers, copying from different Maestros, etc. That is why those guitarists who don't have such a legend as father, probably have a higher chance to sound more "unique" or different. Then again, I find his path perfect. He can add more and more of his own along the way, while at the same time preserving a legend and his sound for decades to come. Some falsettas are actually Tomates, some his own. Looking at his right hand, it is actually almost an exact copy of Tomate. Thumb, nail and everything. Left hand grip is a bit different. Imagine having one of these legends 24/7 at home. I would also just copy 1:1 the technique and not even bother anything else 😁
