Here's a 43 minute interview with the notable luthier Richard Bruné and his son Marshall. who is taking over the business as Richard begins to slack off a bit. Although I've been fooling around with guitars and talking to makers for almost 70 years, I learned a thing or two from it.

Plus, I've known Richard for several years, and I like him. Marshall seems like a nice guy too.

Thanks for this Richard. I haven't had time to check it out but *I think* I might have watched this a couple of years ago (pandemic binge viewing). It's probably been long enough that a rewatch would be worthwhile and if it turns out I haven't seen it....Bonus!

im the same.... i think ive watche this. but i also think i enjoyed and will happily rewatch. trying to inspire myselft to build something (and finish/fix my last build)

Richard Bruné is wonderfully knowledgeable and also deeply sensible. It is too bad that the guitar world is not large enough to support more opportunities for him to write about what he knows.

Love those guys. Back in 2018 I played at their booth at namm to promote those visenut cases. They gave me a T-shirt like the one Marshall is wearing. He should wear Marshall T shirts (like the amplifiers). I wish those guys lived in my town I would visit their shop every weekend. [:D]

Two things:

Guitarists should again be thankful great music can be made on a serious instrument that’s financially available to just about everyone, which includes strings, purchase and repair for common problems. Cello strings and double bass string sets are $200 to 300 for top of the line strings. Etc.
