Hmm, I agree with the point that the guitar is not so important as the music, but I disagree with the point about Americans being more guitar (the instrument) enthusiasts than Spaniards. In my experience it is the exact opposite, especially if the Spaniard is a flamenco. In fact, when I work with dancers/singers, even other guitarists, who are non spanish, they could care less about my guitar. But when ever I work with people from spain, they almost always end up poking their head into the sound hole at some point during rehearsal and ask me about the instrument I play. Even flamenco dancers. Even FEMALE flamenco dancers. Funny thing in Spain one time during a juerga, this German guy who played well suddenly appeared next to me. The guitar he had looked like Reyes or Reyes Jr. In between numbers, I tried to get a look in the sound hole. He noticed me and made a very funny gesture, holding the guitar up so his nose was in the sound hole, and he sniffed it like a curious dog. Very funny guy.[:D] Ricardo
