http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=355759&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1 It would be better to keep using that thread to add any other question related to the differences between Reed and FC28. BTW, I take the occasion to say that there are currently 4 Conde shops (Felipe Sr., Mariano, Felipe Jr. and Conde Atocha) and a vaste second hand market. If you look for a certain sound you have a lot of choice even beyond the 2 models you are interested in. If this wasn't enough, the model says way less than the comparison between actual guitars, due to the many variables affecting an artisanal product (mainly the wood). In theory the Reedicion is made with Pau Ferro while F28 with other woods (mainly Indian or Madagascar). Felipe offers also a premium '74 reed. with redwood top and Braz. back and sides... Recently Mariano Conde said the original 74 guitar used by Paco was made with Indian rosewood instead of Pau Ferro, as commonly believed. Frankly it may be difficult to assess old rosewood and it could be both. Truth is that the shop of Faustino Conde used many different kind of rosewood, probably due to the availability. My 64 Conde has sides in Granadillo and Back in Indian rosewood, ven though vein and color match quite well.
